In 2006 PTA-FLA INC. started building a market in Jacksonville, Florida.  Launching the network June 25, 2007, it became apparent the ZTE switch that was choosen to support the network was not built to American telecommunications standards.  After several attempts to fix the problems existing on the network, the decision was made to sell the network subscriber base to MetroPCS in early 2008.  

At the time of the sale, PTA-FLA INC. had about six thousand customers.
